JEJU ISLAND: DAY 4

It was a sunny day in Jeju. It was the last day of their trip. Jake woke up with a smiling face. This day, he just felt so happy and alive. He just wanted to do crazy stuffs he never did before. But recording was still there, its a part of his daily routine.

Nico: bro, mukhang alive na alive ka ngayon ah? is there something we need to know?

Chloe: oo nga. its not the usual you.

Jake: wala naman, i just feel so energized today. i don’t know why.

Nico: uyy, may nagustuhan kang babae noh? you met her here?

Chloe: (kept silent)

Jake: hindi ah. its our last day, we should be happy. like what you said, ‘do more crazy stuffs’.

Nico: oo nga noh? last day na pala ‘to. ang bilis!

Chloe: super! feel ko nga kahapon lang tayo dumating ng Korea. (laughs)

Jake: that’s why we should have some fun!!

Nico and Chloe: lets go!!

The whole morning, they just walked the streets of Jeju. Jeju is a place full of flower fields, that’s why they decided to walk so that they could take some pictures. Jake started to record the whole last day. After the long walk, they had their breakfast in a restaurant.

Nico: this is the best trip ever!

Chloe: sinabi mo pa! (laughs)

Jake: kundi dahil sa parents niyo, wala ako dito. 

Nico: don’t worry bro. you’re like my own brother. you’re like dad’s own son.

Chloe: oo nga. ano ka ba, wag mo na isipin yan. i thought ba you just want to have fun today?

Jake: i just miss my parents. (smiled) and yeah, because of that i’ll be on my happiest today. =))

Nico: yun! =)

After eating, Nico went outside to see the nice view of Jeju. Jake and Chloe were left alone again. They had some chitchats. 

Chloe: Jake, thanks ha. =)

Jake: thanks for what?

Chloe: for telling me to get to know Nico more. dahil dun, feel ko mas naging strong ang friendship nating tatlo.

Jake: no biggie. di lang naman yun for Nico, its also for the three of us. =)

Chloe: (smiled)

Jake: bakit, you’re falling for him na noh?

Chloe: (did not say a thing, she just looked at Jake)

Nico: guys? lets go?

Jake and Chloe: tara! =)

The gang still walked the streets of Jeju. They went to historical places and took some pictures. And still, because of the deal, Nico and Chloe were ahead. All that Jake had to do was record their happy moments.

Jake: (deep inside) come to think of it, even though i get hurt i should be happy. i should be happy ‘coz wala ng ilangan sa dalawang ‘to. tama lng rin siguro na di ko sabihin kay Chloe. and tama lang rin siguro nas halos sila na ang laman ng videotape ko. they are the highlight of this trip =)

After a series of long walks, they decided to have their lunch. They had lunch at a sidewalk. It was their first time to eat at a sidewalk.

Nico: alam niyo, ito talaga ang best trip ever!

Jake: oo na. paulit-ulit eh. you said that over a hundred times. (laughs)

Nico: i’m not just with the best people on earth, i also got to do stufffs i never did before.

Chloe: tamaaa!

Jake: i think you forgot one thing.

Nico and Chloe: ano?

Jake: di na naiilang si Chloe sa’yo.

Nico: ah yes, and thats a big thanks to you. =)

Chloe: yeah, thanks Jake. =))

Jake just gave them a smile and continued eating.

After eating lunch, they went to a flower field.

The flower field was near a road. Chloe and Nico played in the field while Jake stayed in the middle of the road to record Nico and Chloe’s happy time. While looking at the screen of his videocam, Jake was just smiling. He was happy for Nico and Chloe. He was busy looking at the screen. He did not notice that Nico and Chloe were already telling him to stay off the road because a delivery truck was approaching him.

Chloe and Nico: (shouted) JAKE!! tumabi ka!! JAKE!!

The only thing Jake heard was his name. When he heard his name, he looked at Nico and Chloe. It was too late. Jake got hit by the delivery truck. He died…
